How to Track Your Parcel with Apple Wallet
Apple Wallet order tracking only works with a handful of merchants. TrackIt fixes that - add any tracking number from any carrier directly to Wallet with live lock-screen updates.
Track your parcel in Apple Wallet - 4 steps
Takes under two minutes. Works with 3,000+ carriers. No Apple Pay purchase required.
- 1Enter your tracking number on TrackIt
Go to trackit.international and paste your tracking number into the search field. TrackIt automatically detects the carrier - no manual selection needed for most major carriers.
- 2Sign in or create a free account
A free account is required to securely store your tracking data and push live status updates to your Wallet. Sign up in under 30 seconds using email, Google, or Apple ID.
- 3Tap 'Add to Apple Wallet'
On iPhone or iPad, tap the official Add to Apple Wallet button. TrackIt generates a real, cryptographically signed
.orderpass - not a web clip or shortcut. On desktop, scan the QR code with your iPhone camera instead. - 4Get live updates on your lock screen
As your parcel moves, silent push notifications update the pass via Apple Push Notification service (APNs) - the same infrastructure Apple uses for boarding passes. Your lock screen shows the current status, estimated arrival window, and a delivered confirmation when it arrives.
Why Apple Wallet parcel tracking doesn’t work for most people
Apple introduced native order tracking in Wallet with iOS 16. The feature is powerful - real-time lock-screen updates, push notifications, and a clean order view inside the Wallet app. There’s just one problem: it only works when the merchant has built the integration. Most retailers, and virtually all individual carriers, have not.
This means that even if you receive a DHL, FedEx, or Royal Mail tracking number today, there is no native way to add it to Apple Wallet. The Reddit threads asking “is there an app that allows adding package tracking to Apple Wallet?” go unanswered because, until TrackIt, the answer was effectively no.
TrackIt bridges this gap. We act as a universal third-party order issuer. We take your tracking number, wrap it in a properly signed .order package (Apple’s own format), and serve real-time status updates through Apple’s official Wallet web service and push notification infrastructure - no workarounds, no screenshots, no third-party notification apps.
Carrier Coverage
3,000+ carriers. One place to track them all.
UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Australia Post, Royal Mail, South African Post Office, and hundreds of regional carriers. If a carrier scans your parcel, TrackIt can track it in Apple Wallet.
A real Apple Wallet order - not a workaround
Some tracking apps display your parcel status inside a custom notification or a third-party widget. TrackIt does something fundamentally different: it generates a cryptographically signed .order file using Apple’s own Wallet Orders API format and delivers it to your Wallet app via the official application/vnd.apple.order MIME type.
The result looks and behaves exactly like an order you placed through a participating Apple Pay merchant - because it follows exactly the same specification. Your parcel appears in the Orders tab of your Wallet app with:
- Live shipment status (In Transit, Out for Delivery, Delivered)
- Estimated delivery date displayed prominently
- Silent push notifications when the status changes
- A direct link to the carrier’s own tracking page
- Automatic order close on delivery
When your parcel status changes, TrackIt sends a silent APNs push to every device that added the order. Your iPhone wakes, fetches the updated .order bundle from our server, and updates the pass - all without you opening any app.
iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence tracking - what’s the difference?
iOS 26 introduces automatic order tracking via Apple Intelligence: your Mail app scans incoming shipping confirmation emails and, when it recognises a supported order, adds it to Wallet automatically. This is a welcome feature - but it has meaningful limitations.
| Feature | iOS 26 Mail scanning | TrackIt |
|---|---|---|
| Requires Apple Mail | Yes | No - any email client |
| Requires Apple Intelligence | Yes (iOS 26+) | No - iOS 16+ |
| Works with any carrier | Limited | 3,000+ carriers |
| Manual tracking number entry | No | Yes |
| Works outside Apple Pay | Partial | Always |
| Desktop / QR code support | No | Yes |
| Available from | iOS 26 | iOS 16 |
TrackIt and iOS 26’s built-in tracking are complementary, not competing. TrackIt gives you deliberate, manual control over exactly which parcels you track - useful for parcels from carriers Apple doesn’t recognise, orders confirmed outside Apple Mail, or anyone on iOS 16–25.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track a parcel in Apple Wallet without Apple Pay?
Yes. TrackIt works independently of Apple Pay. You do not need to have paid via Apple Pay - simply paste any tracking number on trackit.international and we generate a signed Wallet order with live push updates.
Which carriers are supported?
TrackIt supports 3,000+ carriers worldwide, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Australia Post, Royal Mail, South African Post Office, and hundreds of regional and local carriers. Carrier detection is automatic - just paste your number.
Why is my Apple Wallet order tracking not working?
Apple’s built-in Wallet order tracking only works when the merchant has enrolled in Apple’s Order Tracking programme and built the integration. Most carriers and retailers have not. TrackIt generates a compatible signed order for any tracking number, bypassing this limitation entirely.
Does Apple Wallet parcel tracking work on iOS 26?
Yes. TrackIt works on iOS 16, 17, 18, 26, and all future iOS versions. It does not require Apple Intelligence or Apple Mail - it works with any email client, any carrier, and any device running iOS 16 or later.
Is TrackIt available in South Africa?
Yes - TrackIt is available worldwide. Pricing is shown in your local currency (ZAR for South African users). South African carriers including SA Post Office and Aramex South Africa are supported, as are all international carriers shipping to South Africa.
Is my tracking data private?
Your tracking numbers are stored securely, linked to your account, and used solely to power live Wallet updates. TrackIt does not sell your data or send marketing emails. Once a parcel is delivered, its tracking data is automatically deleted.
