How to track an order you paid for with Apple Pay

Apple Pay can show your order and its delivery status inside the Wallet app, but only for shops that support it. Here is how it works and what to do when yours doesn't.

How Apple Pay order tracking works

When you pay with Apple Pay at a shop that supports order tracking, the shop can send your order details to Wallet. The order then appears in Wallet with its status, and the status changes as the shop updates it.

This feature arrived with iOS 16, so an older iPhone can't show orders this way.

Where to find your orders

You can also tap the card you paid with, choose the transaction, and look for Order Tracking details on it.

Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Tap Orders. On some versions it sits under More.
Tap an order to see its status and the delivery details.

Why an Apple Pay order doesn't show up

The shop hasn't set up order tracking with Apple, which is the most common reason.
You paid another way, such as a card typed into the website, instead of Apple Pay.
Your iPhone is on iOS 15 or earlier.
The order is very new and the shop hasn't sent the details yet.

When Wallet has nothing to show: add the tracking number yourself

If the shop doesn't support Wallet's order tracking, or you only have a tracking number from an email or a seller, TrackIt fills the gap. Common questions

Does Apple Pay track my orders automatically?

Only when the shop supports Apple's order tracking. Apple Pay doesn't look up parcels by itself, it displays what the merchant sends to Wallet.

Where are my Apple Pay orders in Wallet?

Open the Wallet app and tap Orders, or More and then Orders. You can also tap your card, then a recent transaction, to see its order details.

Can I track an order I paid for with a card, not Apple Pay?

Not through Apple's Wallet feature, which relies on the Apple Pay payment. You can still add the tracking number to Wallet with TrackIt.

Which iOS version do I need?

iOS 16 or later for orders from participating merchants. The Track with Apple Wallet button needs iOS 17 or later.
