How to add a tracking number to Google Wallet

Google Wallet doesn't let you type a tracking number in. TrackIt does it for you: paste the number, tap Add to Google Wallet, and the parcel appears as a pass that updates as it moves.

Step by step

  1. Go to trackit.international/android and sign in, or create a free account with your email, Google or Apple.
  2. Paste the tracking number from the shop's email, the seller or the carrier. TrackIt detects the carrier from the number.
  3. Tap Add to Google Wallet. On an Android phone the pass goes straight into the Wallet app.
  4. Open Google Wallet to see the status. The pass updates when the carrier scans the parcel.

Why Wallet can't do this itself

Google Wallet's order list is built from emails in Gmail, and Google says that is currently only available in the US. There is no manual entry. That leaves out parcels from friends, small sellers, marketplaces and any order that went to another inbox.

Which carriers work

TrackIt supports 3,000+ carriers, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Royal Mail and Australia Post. If it ever picks the wrong carrier, choose the right one under Select manually below the tracking box.

Common questions

Can I add a tracking number to Google Wallet?

Not in the Wallet app itself. TrackIt adds it for you from the tracking number.

Do I need to know the carrier?

No. TrackIt finds the carrier from the number.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. TrackIt works in any country where Google Wallet is available.

Does it cost anything?

Looking up a parcel is free. Saving a parcel to Google Wallet uses one token, which costs $0.59 once-off or is free with a referral code. Premium is unlimited at $1.49 a week or $4.99 a month. Prices are in USD.
